Teacher Talk Episode 9: Modeling-When Teachers Show the Way
Strong foundations begin with strong modeling. Before students can work independently, they need to see, hear, and experience what successful learning looks like.
In this Teacher Talk episode, we’ll explore how intentional teacher modeling builds understanding, confidence, problem-solving skills, and independence. We’ll look at opportunities to model in Shurley English, including Jingles, the Q&A Flow, Sentence Blueprints, and the writing process. We’ll also explore how Shurley’s unique structures and routines provide natural frameworks for modeling and how teachers can recognize opportunities throughout the day.
Join us as we discover how intentional modeling can make learning visible and help students build lasting skills.
